The Storybird is a web 2.0 tool which is beneficial for both learners and educators.
Storybird is mainly about 4 things.
1. Writing: Storybird provides its users with simple tools to help them build books in minutes.
2. Reading: Storybird allows students to fill their bookshelves with endless possibilities. Storybird has any type of book for any type of reader.
3. Discovering: Storybird is a safe and positive community for creativity. It allows its users to find favorite new books and authors, to find new friends across the globe, and discover their stories too.
4. Sharing: The world needs more stories and poetry, so Storybird provides the learners with opportunity to make and share beautiful stories and poems with a unique mix of art and words.

Professional artwork jumpstart student creativity, quickly drawing them into the writing process and scaffolding their progress. Simple tools keeps them on track, social feedback keeps them going. Moreover, onboard students with or without email, issue challenges, review and share work, and build a beautiful class library. All in a private setting that collects no data from educators or learners. Furthermore, Storybird is free for educators. In fact, Storybird pays educators, if an educator runs a class or school fundraising the educator receives 30% of the proceeds.

As a future teacher I would use Storybird because it's inspirational, beautiful, lightweight, easy to use and most importantly it's social. Story bird will motivate my students to write and read, and it will make my students stronger at both being able to tell stories and being able to understand and appreciate them. It will also inspire them to write better and read better. Moreover, Storybird provides me as an educator with set of tools to onboard my students and to create assignments that my students can do. In addition to those, Storybird has a very sophisticated review dashboard that allows me to sort by assignments or by students and quickly review their works and it's all within a private hemisphere of the classroom, safe and secure.

Today, more than 5 million students and 400,000 educators use Storybird. They've published 15 million stories, and read them for several billion minutes.

“Storybird can be used by all ages, for all different subjects... Students can rewrite a classic... explain a science concept or retell a historical event. You can team students up to collaborate... As you can see, the sky is the limit with Storybird.... just let the creativity happen and their voices be heard.”
